Sat 12 th July 2008 As part of The Exeter Respect Festival, the Environment Agency wanted to play our new song , Chemical Race from the ‘Jabbrock’ Band. Their plan was to take pictures of hundreds of people holding up cards saying things like, ‘I cycle, I turn taps off when cleaning my teeth, I use energy efficient light bulbs, and I recycle. e.t.c. e.t.c. They then wanted to show all the pictures on a slide show with our song being played in the background to raise awareness and get people thinking how can they help the environment. They played our song on Phonic Fm local radio and plugged the band....oooh-exciting stuff!! Thanks to Kevin for your connections :) Ahh see it’s not what ya’ know, it’s who ya know! ha, ha! :) And to Dave & his mate (from Jabbrock) who worked their butts off mixing and producing the tune up there in London town working through the night so we could get it to Kevin in time for the Respect Fest. Cheers guys :) We’re still working on new tunes and will be out gigging soon as we have a good set of originals together.
